Welcome to the amazing month of May! Our Mother's Day event is May 9th and 10th. The Mother's are welcome into the class for the last hour of school. Purple Day is May 23rd and 24th. Please have your child wear purple to school. Please note that the school is closed on May 20th for Victoria Day

Our Programs
Three Year-Old Program
In our Three year-old program, students will be introduced to many new concepts. Each day they will focus on name recognition, number recognition, the days of the week, the months of the year, and will be taught one French word each day. All transitions are done through song, and they will complete a craft & story each day, and there will be adequate free-play time. Every month there will be special dress-up theme days.
Four Year-Old Program
Our Four year-old program reinforces the concepts in our Three-year old program, and introduces students to the concept of the Upper and Lower case alphabets. Each day they will focus on a letter, a number, shape or color, and the craft & story each day will follow these themes and reinforce these concepts. The students will also work through letter and number (up to the number ten) booklets throughout the year. Students will learn to write their name, and will learn to recognize color and shape words. They will continue to work through the days of the week, the months of the year, and will learn one French word a day. As well, there will be special dress-up theme days every Month. All transitions are done through song, and the students will have plenty of free-play each day.

Four Year-Old Program (Modified)
In our Modfied Four year-old program, students will continue to work through the concepts introduced in our Three-year old program. They will work through an upper and lower case alphabet book, and a number book (up to the number five). They will learn to write their name, and will learn one French word a day. They will work with the days of the week, the months of the year, and will complete crafts and story time each day. They will also have special dress-up theme days each month, and will have lots of free-play time each day.
Junior Kindergarten Program
Green Door's Junior Kindergarten program introduces students to new concepts and reinforces those learned in our other programs. Students will complete a number book (up to the number twenty), and will continue to practice their upper and lower case letters. They will learn to write their name with both cases of letters. Each day they will have story time, and free-play, complete a craft, and all transitions will be done through song. Students will begin to work with a journal notebook, and will participate in special dress-up theme days each month. They will work through the colors, days of the week, months of the year, and will learn one French word each day. (Ask us about our 5 day a week program.)
